The correct colour is one of the most important quality characteristics for visually appealing products. The new colorCONTROL ACS7000 colour measurement system does more than just recognise and compare colours, it measures them independently and maps these within the colour space. This new, non-contact system operates at a distance of 50mm, making it ideal for high volume production and for sensitive surfaces. The spectral value method is used to identify individual colour values to a very high resolution of < 0.1 ∆E.
In addition to the traditional mode, which compares colours to a reference value, the colorCONTROL ACS7000 includes two additional modes. The second mode measures the target's reflectivity spectrum. The third mode measures colours and displays these in the relevant colour space (XYZ, L*a*b*, L*u*v*). You can also display and track a trend analysis of ΔE / ΔL*, Δa*, Δb* for the individual colours over any period of time.
The inspection of the painting of car parking sensors prior to mounting or the colour sorting of parts in production are typical applications. The measuring rate of 2kHz enables the inspection of very fast processes.
