Car attachments, such as parking sensors, are painted separately. However, during assembly the color difference between the parking sensor and the bumper must be zero, which means that the colors must be identical. The colorSENSOR LT-2-DU sensor from Micro-Epsilon allows a direct color comparison between the parking sensor and the rear bumper. The colorSENSOR LT-2-DU consists of two color sensors. The integrated electronics perform a logical evaluation. They define the maximum difference between the two colors of the color sensors or channels. For the customer, this means that no further evaluations are required. The sensor issues a NOK signal if the colors differ and an OK signal if the colors are identical. The same measurement system can be used for comparing colors of other attachments, e.g. the cover of the headlight washer nozzles vs. bumper, mirror vs. bodyshell, bodyshell vs. bumper.
